Genoa offers a wide range of accommodation options to suit different needs and budgets. The city is geographically and socially diverse, and this is reflected in the variety, location, and standard of the available accommodation.
With both ease of access to the conference venue and the attractiveness of the surrounding area in mind, we provide below some information about different parts of the city.
(1) Sturla and Albaro
The Sturla and Albaro districts are close to the conference venue, approximately 15β20 minutes away on foot, and offer mainly mid-range to high-end hotels and accommodation. Both areas are close to the sea and offer pleasant seaside walks and attractive views.
(2) Foce, Carignano, San Vincenzo and Portoria
These districts are centrally located, close to the main railway station and many of the city's main attractions. They offer a wide range of hotels and other accommodation options across different price categories. The conference venue can be reached in approximately 20β30 minutes by public transport.
(3) Historic Centre (βCentro Storicoβ)
The Centro Storico is the medieval heart of Genoa and offers a wide variety of accommodation, restaurants, and attractions. Please be aware that, because of its maze of very narrow and winding streets, some areas may feel less comfortable, particularly late in the evening or at night. If you are unfamiliar with the area, we recommend staying close to the main streets or choosing accommodation elsewhere if you have any concerns.
The conference venue can be reached in approximately 20β30 minutes by public transport.
(4) Quarto, Quinto and Nervi
Towards the eastern end of the city are the coastal districts of Quarto, Quinto and Nervi, characterised by a distinctly maritime atmosphere and attractive seaside scenery. The conference venue can be reached in approximately 20β30 minutes by public transport.
